I'm always happy for people when they get something new (unless it's a cheap piece of crap). I'm thinking Ronnie should buy cigars for us. So jackyl used six of these amp heads? That's 120 watts each. Were they each plugged in? That's fucking loud. Anyway, I wanna check out how Ronnie uses it as I think Ronnie is one of the few guitar players around here with taste.
I think for most people, you have to find what's right for you. For instance, Jackyl would make it sound great and I probably wouldn't. But I do believe a great place to start with a tube amp is to go fucking loud. If you really wanna sound like Eddie Van Halen buy an old JCM 800 and crank the volume all the way up. I bet his engineer from the first five albums is freaking deaf.
By the way, Ron. How's your back? I understand those things are heavy.

The back is OK, But I did have a question for you. If you so happen to run into this guy Bill, could you stress the urgency for him to call me? I've called a few times in the last week or so and haven't gotten a response from him. I'd hate just not to show and leave him in a spot or make us look bad. I'm not even sure if he is expecting us to play or not. Don't worry,I've been polite and considerate on all of my messages.

I almost forgot about the good news. Buckcherry will be at Jaxx on April 14th and tickets are only 18 bucks. I am a huge fan,I just think they have good stuff. This will be my third time seeing them. The only song most people know is "Lit Up",you know "I love the cocaine,I love the cocaine"-but all thier music is awesome, very modern day GNR. There's not many bands around that can pull that kind-of music off and make it good. It's just gritty rock n roll.

Buck Cherry...I remember those guys. I should go with you.
I'm gonna go light a fire under Bill. He has enough time because he's calling and texting Sarah everyday. You be polite. I'm gonna be the bad cop.

That's one of my favorite tracks to come out of the '90s. I had the CD with "Lit Up" on it, I may have to dig it out sometime.

Ritz, what'd you think of Ronnie's amp when you heard it last Saturday? I think it really rocks and it suits his playing great. That intro to Road House Blues was hot and it scorched through the room. It really cuts through greatly. I didn't like the clean sounds on it that much. Ronnie, get a Fender for those and a/b between the amps.
That amp is freaking huge!!!

Saturday rocked. The amp has a great sound. That improvising on Road House Blues kicked my ass. That was awesome. Makes me want to spend more time practicing.

The band had to wait on me and Dave to set up the vocal effects thingy before they could go into the verse, bridge, or something. I just knew they were jamming while waiting on me to find an extension cord and mic cables. I think that showed how talented the band was that they could do that. Though they made it seem like no big thing.

no lie. If I hadn't heard them play the song a few times before, I would have thought it was part of the show. Whole lot of new material in that show in regards to Dave talking. The british accent was hilarious, I loved it. And the opening song was great. I turned to Allison during it and said "who is this? this is great" She agreed. We were surprised when Dave said it was original. Real good stuff.
