I am going to get my ass kicked royally this week. I only have two running backs and one of them is Gado in Houston who was just traded. I am truly going to take it up the rear from Ritz and become his bitch about two minutes after the first kick off.
I am trying to build my team so I can be better in the weeks to come...even if that meant making it weaker for this week. I'm doing a horrible job managing this year unlike last year as I was in the championship game.
At least you guys know the commissioner isn't cheating....or if I was cheating, I'd really suck at that too.

Man you are right. You are about to get your head handed to you. How did you end up with only 2 RBs? There are better backs on in the FA pool then Gado. Man you are going to have a rough two weeks. First you get take to the wood shed by your sister and now this. Well if it makes you feel any better I voted for you in the matchup. It was wishful thinking!!!!!!! Ritz and his stupid tie.

I was wondering who that freak was who voted for me. I checked out the pool and can't really find anyone who might even get playing time. I traded one RB for a wide receiver....but I'm still trying to get a good RB for Brees. I'm hoping someone with a spare RB will need a good QB in the next week or so.

Yeah that was me.
You are asking a lot for Brees. Too much I think.
Brees has had a good start but he is system guy. He did well in SD becuase of the system.
Gado will not see the field this week. Mack Strong is a better play. That's my hint to you for the day.

I almost picked up Mack Strong about a week ago. As bad as your team is, they aren't that far behind me (Granted, they're predicting that Cartright gets a 0 for the game). If Williamson doesn't play.. or just doesn't return kickoffs, you're right back in it.

I took your advice. We'll see what Strong does.

Oh, and right now, Brees has scored more fantasy points than my starter, Hasselbeck.

I'm hoping the Giants pass rush steps up this game... if so, I should win. If they play like they have so far this year... I dunno, Hasselbeck may turn in a 30 point performance

wow, You pulled that one out of your ass, Clay. if hadn't have been for Eli getting some junk yardage and RW McQuarters returning an interception for a TD it wouldn't have even been that close.
I'll be a better team after this week. I've decided that the Giants defense will sit the bench for the rest of the year (at least until showing they can do something on a regular basis).. also with Tony Gonz now and Larry Johnson through his bye week I should be okay... I might even hit 100 points one of these weeks.

you did pick that upset.
honestly... the Giants for whatever reason just can't get their shit together in the first half of a football game. No clue what it is. Then again, it's not like they were outplayed, really. When you turn the ball over five (I believe... I stop counting once I'm past the fingers on one hand) times to a team that's too good not to capitalize, you're effed.
That's what I'm chalking the loss up to. The Giants played a better team and what should have happened, happened. I at least wish they'd have made it a game like they did against the Colts. I'm not going to say the season is over by any means, but now the Redskin game is going to mean a lot. The bye couldn't have come at a better time either. It was pathetic watching the Giants have to play the best in the NFC with only one healthy starting receiver.

oh Rella, is your faith in Brunell back or are you still chalking it up to that just being the gimme game of the year?

No No No.
This just one of the peaks of the the roller coaster known as Mark Burnell. Just over this peak is a long and deep drop off.
His old team from Jax will bring us right back down the hill on the other side. We really have no choice. We cannot put Campbell in until the year is over.
We are still only one game out. So you have to go with him. The nice part was to see Portis and Betts get some yards. Portis is the difference.
The one positive I took away from the game was the fact that they mover Brunell out of the pocket more. He is not a pocket passer. When you roll him out and let him see the field he can be effective.
Th Giants just can't get it going early. What did you think about Shockey saying they were out coached. I think that is a joke. When you turn the ball over that much coaching has nothing to do with it.

as far as Shockey goes... Tiki Barber did the same thing last year, and one other player did the same thing after the Colts game. Maybe there is something to it? I hate that the players aren't buying fully into the system but Shockey still plays his ass off. I like Coughlin, but if he can't get this team together, as talented as it is, maybe he is the problem. Still, nothing good is going to come from Shockey's comments

rather than edit.. I'll make a new post since it's a different point... anywho.
I said Coughlin, only because Shockey is an offensive player. I know he's football intelligent so maybe he has the same concerns as me in coaching (I feel I'm fairly football savy) and that is Tim Lewis the D Coordinator. He makes no adjustments at half time according to a few offenses they've played. The Colts were surprised that they were able to do the same thing over and over, as well as the Eagles, and I'm sure the Seahawks. The only reason the Giants won the Eagles game is because they have dirty players that get caught for doing dirty things, and one of the dumbest coaches in the NFL. Tim Lewis has got to go. He sucked last year, and he sucks this year. The scheme seems to be more of a problem than the players
