They also lost their O-coordinator didn't they?
But then again, this is a team that was a great offense with Eddie Kennison as their top WR. He was let go by half of the NFL I think, but they still had a great O with hurting WRs. I have no idea how that offense will function.
Football changes more from one season to the next than any other sport.

Man, as a Skins fan, let's hope the offense was totally Al Saunders and he's capable of making any offensive player look good. The Preseason isn't showing that however.
I think Charlie Fry is going to have a breakout year as a QB so if somebody wants him, he's yours for the right price.

How about a six pack of PBRs and they don't even have to be cold.
Not too high on anything Brown... although he will have Winslow and the Michigan kid to throw to.

LJ lost his two tackles. One of which was Willie Roaf, who was one of the best tackles in football. They replaced him with Kyle Turley. Trent Green is going to get killed this year. Plus you have to factor in that they lost their offensive Cordinator and Herm "Boring" Edwards is now the coach. LJ will still put up some numbers but Herm is going to grind him into the ground. Kyle Turley's a guy I always disliked. I feel like he's been a pretty dirty player throughout his career. If he's getting owned by a D Lineman you can always expect his hands to go up towards the facemask. I'm not sure how many players he's poked in the eye but I can bet it's a pretty high number. He's a good lineman, but with the weight he lost I think he's going to be relatively ineffective at tackle. Like the announcer said when the Giants played the Chiefs in preseason, "you know you've got line troubles when the other team's 3rd string QB outweighs your left tackle".

I hated Turley and was glad my Saints got rid of him about the time the NFL started noticing his crap.
I haven't made any moves yet. I hope I don't suck at this.

I will have Bulger as my qb with Billy V as the backup. RBs are Edge James and Westbrook. No real depth as in if one of these guys goes down, I don't know if I will have a back to get the carries. My WRs are Chambers, Randal El, Glenn, Bennett and Lee Evans. Whitten is my TE and Washington my D. Not too shabby, but I want to keep building. How do you feel about Volek now. Looks like Kerry, I just got off my couch and into camp, Collins will be starting ahead of Volek this weekend. Fisher must have seen something he didn't like in camp to give him the hook this close to week one. Rellascout

When Bulger goes down, like he does every year, Brooks and Grossman will look great compared to two guys who don't play, Volek and Holcomb.
I bet you a beer that Brooks puts up better numbers than Bulger this year.
With 12 teams and rosters larger than a real NFL team, depth is what it is all about. Almost every team is one injury away from playing guys who don't even start. You need backups to your starters. Especially at QB.
The key is to have people who play. It is really hard to score points if you don't have people who play in the games.
I'll take a weak starter versus a guy who doesn't play any day.

Well, yeah. I'll take a weak starter over a bench sitter. But I'll take your bet. Bulger will have much better numbers this year than Brooks. I say more TDs, more yards and a higher passer competion %. So, where do you want to be buy me this beer? We can do it right before the playoffs because neither Brooks or Bulger are going.

Bulger will not play a full year.
Using our scoring system Brooks will score more points Bulger. We can add it up at then end of the league.
As for where you can buy me a beer you can name the place and time.

I have a feeling Bulger's going to have a good year. Brooks is doomed because he went to the Raiders. But I can continue to argue over shitty quarterbacks with you all day. HAHAHAHA.
Man, week one is almost here. I'm psyched and can't wait. I should probably work on my roster.

Maybe Volek will not work out, but I am not giving up hope on him yet.
Clay, I have dropped two trades in your box. Don't be like Last Man Standing who I have had a trade proposed to for two weeks now.
Hopefully the league will pick up the chatter and the trading. I am far from done, but no one else is pitching trades.

I've got a feeling that I'm going to have to do some trading but at this point I'm going to wait until after week one

I am far from done, but no one else is pitching trades. It too early to make a lot of trades. The best trades are made mid season out of desperation. Injuries in a league this size with teams this large will spark some great trades late in the year. At this point in the year your are looking for those hidden gemsand guys who will break out this year. I like my team so far. I would like to have more WR but I have been stacking up on QBs and RBs. I'm more looking to dump guys I am not crazy about (Brunell) for guys who I like (Evans, Bennett). I probably should have just eliminated them from my list, but I know they have value to someone somewhere.
