It's good the way it is.
Clay has suffered enough over this.
I will just beat his sister down like a step-child in Wal-Mart when I play her in the playoffs.

I like it the way it is, although Willie Ponder is worthless to me now.
as far as trades - I'm still looking for a tight end and I'm willing to trade Brad Johnson to get one.

How did you think Arrington did on Sunday?

who? Oh yeah.. that guy. Have to wait until next week I guess. His name wasn't called but neither was anyone elses on the defense unless they blew coverage or dropped an interception. The defensive scheme was horrible. Hopefully they'll get more of a pass rush against Philly and allow the linebackers to do something.

Yeah the Skins were about the same. Zero pressure from the D line. It was sad.
Hey at least Lavar didn't blow any assignments.

I saw some of the Skins game but what did you think? Were they a good team that was just outplayed or did they look that bad against a team they should've beaten?
for me.. I'm still excited. The Giants outplayed the Colts and should have won if not for a couple of (hopefully) correctable mistakes. Mainly the offensive penalties which I'm sure will be Coughlin's focus this week. Only thing I'm concerned about is the three dropped interceptions. Since Sehorn left, the Giants have had cornerbacks with stone hands. I think RW had two picks in preseason, and he had one on Sunday so maybe.. just maybe, they have a bright spot in the secondary. Webster's lack of coordination when the ball's coming at him is just embarrassing

I saw some of the Skins game but what did you think? Were they a good team that was just outplayed or did they look that bad against a team they should've beaten? I think the Skins looked bad against a team we should have beat. Here is the bad stuff: We kicked 3 field goals from inside the red zone if my memory is serving me correctly. We took a big hit when Prioleau got hurt. He is a much better cover safety then Archeletta. Arch is a heavy hitting run support guy but not a great cover guy. This forced Rumph to play SS instead of CB making us even weaker there. We REALLY MISS SHAWN SPRINGS! Betts is not a starting RB. He averaged under 3 yards a carry. Portis is still banged up and we should have had Duckett in there if Portis couldn't carry the load. Coley and Lloyd were non-existent. (This will be corrected this week I hope) Our D line got pushed out of the way late in the game by a very good Vikings O line. Their left side is awsome. The biggest issue was that we could not get real pass rush up front so we couldn't get our defense off the field on 3rd down. If you let people convert 3rd and 12 you are not going to win many games. The Positives: Randle El looked good as a punt returner and a WR. I think he caught more balls in this game then he did his entire time in Pitts. Moss looks good. People say he is going to drop off this year but I don't see it. I think he will still have a big year. Portis did well when he was in there. We need him to play. He makes everything else happen. We did not give up a sack. The line held up pretty well and I think with a better RB we would have been okay. There were open holes for Betts to run through he just isn't a strong runner. First contact and he is down. As I said on the Fredtalk it is only the first game. I do not see any of these things as season killers. We need Springs back. Once we have him covering the number one guy and Rodgers covering the #2 you will see a lot more of pressure being brought from the LB and Safety position. That is Greg Williams Football. The offensive will get better as the season progresses. It was not the start I wanted but I am not in the "Sky is falling" camp. I think that we are still a playoff team. Rellascout

that's a fair assessment and I'd feel the same way. Even though they didn't give up a sack, are you worried about how the Offensive Line is going to match up against teams with dangerous Front 7s?
I wouldn't expect Cooley to put up bad numbers for long. At least I hope not. Though I'm not a Skins fan, there's certain players on that team I do respect and hope they have a good year. Portis is one and Cooley is the other. If Moss ever gets on the field for the Giants and produces, I may have to add his brother in there also.

I think that our front seven will be good to go. We have Pro Bowl quality tackles and I think Randy Thomas is one of the better guards in the game.
Portis is the key. When Portis is on the field you have to worry about him breaking the big one and you have to worry about him gashing you 4 to 8 yards at a time.
He changes the game a lot like Tiki does. If you play him straight up our line can open up holes that will get him 4 to 8 yards a carry. We can move the ball down the field that way if you let us.
As soon as you crowd the line to stop the run we can hit you with the play action pass or throw a quick screen to Moss. Once you are looking for the play action pass we run a draw. Look for the draw we are passing over the middle behind the LB in front of the DBs.
Portis is key to putting the other defense on its heals. He is the biggest factor in naturalizing a good front 7. Without him a good front 7 can simply attack and Brunell is too old to run and will get sacked or forced to unload the ball out of bounds.
That is why I am not too worried yet. Portis is the key and he was not on the field enough on Monday. When he is the offensive will click.
